Why can’t orders be placed through the Buy Now URL?

Look at your store settings and check whether the specific product can be purchased through a Buy Now URL.

- If the product is not eligible for Buy Now checkout:

1. The product may not be available for sale on its own.

2. A replacement text is used for the price in the product details.

3. The product is part of a “Buy 1 Get X free” offer.

4. The product is not displayed or not sold on the online store.

- If the Buy Now checkout requests customers to log in:

Buy Now checkout pages are by default the “guest checkout” type.

However, if you have chosen any of the following settings, guest accounts who access the Buy Now URL will be redirected to a login page.

1. The product is only available to customer accounts.

- Check whether you selected “Customer accounts only” for the[Allow purchases] field in the[Sales information]section when adding or editing a product.

If you also checked “Show [Buy] button to guest accounts too”, guest accounts will be able to see the Bu y Now checkout page, but they will not be able to place an order.
- If guest accounts attempt to place an order, they will be redirected to your store’s homepage.

2. The product price is only visible to customer accounts due to a customer-only promotional campaign.
